Privacy Policy of Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition (PIRC)


PIRC values your privacy and we are committed to protecting your personal information. We collect personal information such as your name, email address, and phone number to enable PIRC to organize, train, track, communicate with, and dispatch volunteers on an efficient and personalized basis (PIRC’s Services). 


PIRC’s website allows volunteers to sign up for some of our programs. This policy informs website visitors of how PIRC collects, uses, and protects personal information of PIRC volunteers.


If you choose to sign up for PIRC’s Services, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The personal information we collect are used for PIRC’s Services, including managing and improving PIRC’s volunteer programs. We will not sell, use, or share your personal information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy, and we will not keep your personal information for longer than we need it. 


Information Collection and Use


To register and participate in PIRC’s Services, PIRC will require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, email address, phone number, and postal address. The information that we collect will be used only for PIRC’s Services. We will not use your personal information for any other purpose or share it with third-parties except PIRC Service Providers, as outlined below.  We will share your personal information only when you give us permission, the law requires it, or it is necessary to protect the rights of PIRC or others. You have the right to correct inaccurate information or request deletion of your personal information. 


Usage Data


PIRC does not collect information that your browser sends to us, called Log Data. Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser version, pages of our website that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.


PIRC Service Providers


PIRC may employ third-party companies, individuals, or volunteers to facilitate PIRC’s Services or to provide PIRC’s Services on our behalf. These third parties may have access to your personal information to perform PIRC’s Services. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.


Data Security


PIRC values your trust in providing us your personal information, and we will take all reasonable steps to protect it. Notwithstanding our data security measures, unfortunately all users should recognize that no online service is impenetrable.

Children's Privacy


PIRC does not allow individuals under the age of 18 to volunteer in our programs, and we do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. If we discover that a minor has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes.
