Our History
Since 2005, the Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition (PIRC) has been defending the rights of immigrants in our community through education, rapid response, and legal support.
2017-2020
Supported many actions to Keep Families Together and Abolish ICE during the first Trump administration.
2017
Supported the ICE out of NORCOR campaign
2018
PIRC provided community support and education around the Occupy ICE protests at the ICE office.
2021
Became an independent non-profit, and was no longer a coalition of organizations
2022-2024
Assisted newcomer asylum seekers in navigating resources in Oregon
